Male Chorus Ministry

The sole purpose of the Mount Airy Male Chorus is to bring the message
of the Gospel through the ministry of music! At all times they strive to
present themselves as strong, positive African American men. They are
“One choir, one voice. New members are welcome. Rehearsals are on
Thursday evening before the third Sunday at 7:00 pm. The choir normally
sings on the third Sunday of each month. They also sing at other
churches for special programs or to accompany Pastor L. B. West when he

Men's Ministry (Men Knowing Christ)

The Men's Ministry (MKC's) provides men with resources to develop godly
character, and to equip them to influence their world for Christ.
Becoming a Christian is not a destination; it is the beginning of a
life-long journey. This ministry is dedicated to helping men be the
godly men God calls us to be. A godly man is a servant, not a
slavemaster. Being a spiritual leader does not mean dominating your
family. It means serving your family, and being a godly example to your

Deaconess Ministry

The purpose of the Deaconess Ministry is to care for and assist the
needs of the overall congregation. Wherever there are sick and shut-in
members as well as members in need of prayer, the Deaconess Ministry
will be there to help. They will be in contact with all sick members and
monitor the prayer list to ensure that members are not alone. They are
responsible for the preparation and setting up Holy Communion on the

that provides fellowship and fun
in a safe and relaxing atmosphere. They are full of life, zeal and an unquenchable love for our Lord and Savior Jesus
Christ.
They come together for bible study, monthly meetings and many social activities
including luncheons, theater productions; brunches, dinners and a variety of other
activities. They fellowship together with those of a “like mind”, encouraging and

providing space within their facility for its operation. Thus the name, the Mt Airy Baptist Church Federal Credit
Union (MABCFCU).MABCFCU is currently a multi-source, low income designated credit union. Our field of membership includes the Mount Airy Baptist Church family and several small groups who have joined us. We are currently in an expansion mode in which we hope to increase our assets to better serve our community and its people. |

Culinary Ministry

members and community individuals as needed. The general nature of this
ministry is to provide programs that will enable the Church membership
to achieve some economic freedom and stability during a crisis. This
includes, but not limited to: Food Co-Op, Clothing Banks,
Transportation, etc.
