This Communications & Information Technology (Media Ministry) focuses on various communication tools to
spread the Word of God and vital information that will empower the
people of God. Through the audio, video, digital photography,

There is a profound difference in content and results between counseling
based in God's Word and secular therapy approaches. We offer real, effective
Biblically-based counseling that provides permanent solutions to people's
problems in contrast to the symptom-focused psychotherapy so often found in the
world or secularized "Christian Counseling" which ultimately does not look to
God's Word for solutions.

The Men's Ministry (MKC's) provides men with resources to develop godly
character, and to equip them to influence their world for Christ.
Becoming a Christian is not a destination; it is the beginning of a
life-long journey. This ministry is dedicated to helping men be the
godly men God calls us to be. A godly man is a servant, not a
slavemaster. Being a spiritual leader does not mean dominating your
family. It means serving your family, and being a godly example to your
wife and children.

Christ through music, song, liturgical dance, encourage believers in
their walk with Christ, lead the congregation in worship and provide an
avenue through which individuals may share their gift and be an integral
part of the worship.
Music is an integral part of worship, and Mount Airy believes that the
type of music—both the melody and the lyrics—that a person uses has an
impact on everyday life. The music that is used in our church is capable
of helping to set the spiritual tone of the congregation. At Mount Airy
we recognize the important role music plays in the life of our
community of faith. As we build upon the firm foundation of Christ and a

The
Nominating Ministry strives to serve the Lord by identifying those
individuals who, by God’s providence and gracious gifts, are called to
serve as officers of the church. The ministry also serves the church,
by helping those individuals interpret their call and discover the forms
of ministry to which they are called. Once identified, the ministry
presents these individuals to the congregation in the form of a
nomination for election of officers in the Church.

encouragement to and the sharing of ideas with the Pastor as he seeks
to serve as the minister to the congregation and in his working with
additional staff of the church. This ministry should encourage the
Pastor to balance his time with church, family responsibilities, and
personal spiritual growth. Frequently, pastors minister to the needs of
the congregation and deal with the administrative demands of church to
the neglect of their personal well-being and their families.

Airy, we use specially designed techniques to reach adults with special
needs. Our staff is compassionate and well-versed in sharing God's
truth in loving, appropriate ways. And just as Jesus loved all who came
to Him, we cherish our special needs families. We have established a
support group for fellowship and the exchange of information, ideas,
resources and positive strategies.
Come
join us at summer camp to experience what Christ can do to change the
heart of a child. Through our summer camp ministry hundreds of
children's lives have been transformed into making them "World
Changers". One 8 yr old girl wrote a letter to say summer camp changed
my home and my heart. She accepted Christ into her life.

facilities, processes, capability and capacity to help further God’s
word.

every first Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. –8:30 p.m. The Unity
Contemporary Choir also referred to as UCC with over twenty young

month and during special occasions such as Church revival and Church
anniversary week. We do not have any sound recording yet, but in the
near future, this dream will be a reality.
The function of the Ushers’ Ministry is to meet, greet, seat and ensure
that the needs and comfort of the parishioners are met, with a loving
smile, as they enter the sanctuary. The Usher’s Ministry is an
extension of God’s hands to people. The Ministry of Ushering is a
personal representation of Jesus Christ who meets people on a
person-to-person basis when they first arrive at Mount Airy Baptist
Church. Ushers serve as watchmen, servants, disciplinarians and hosts
of Mount Airy.
To
make worship times as meaningful as possible our church relies on a
faithful group of volunteers. Many changes have come about in the past
few years and high tech equipment has become a part of many church
worship services. Mount Airy is fortunate to have gifted persons to help
with this part of the ministry of our church. We are thankful that God
has provided us this small group of volunteers to help with the video
part of our services.
Our
Voices
of Mount Airy Consoling Choir endeavors to provide prayerful and
meaningful music at the funeral for the deceased’s family and friends.
This group sings at most of our funerals and rehearses several times a
year. With the unpredictability of funeral it is important that members
be flexible and available during the day.
It's
important to have a ministry with website design and development
skills. We believe a website is successful to the extent that it
provides meaningful and informative content that contributes to its
congregation and the public. Our team works closely with the various
church ministries to convey their mission, leadership and scheduled
meetings. Based on the numerous ministries of Mount airy, this can be a
daunting task. We encourage volunteer support to help us meet the
informational needs of the Church.
Weddings
are delightful times when God unites two individuals and families.
Mount Airy hosts weddings for its members and others who regularly

our church has a team of dedicated ladies whose ministry is to assist

devotion. In a youthfully upbeat fashion, the Youth Choir ushers the
presence of God into the service. Youth Choir ministry is a great means
