Children's Church

At Mount Airy Baptist Church, we believe that worship is central to our lives as believers. This belief defines the opportunities we provide for our children during worship with their peers as part of the Children’s Church conducted every 1st through 3rd Sunday for 1st - 6th graders. We strive to help make each worship service child-friendly. One element that is in almost every service is the Children’s Sermon. The Children’s Sermon allows our children to feel welcome in worship and to hear biblical truths in age-appropriate terms.
 
We also give our children an opportunity to actively participate in leading the main worship service every 4th Sunday. 
 
Children Worship Service...................................Sunday 11:00 am – 12:00 noon
 
Extended Session is provided for our infants through Kindergarteners to provide them an opportunity to worship in their own environment each Sunday. Faithful volunteers sign up to care for and teach the preschoolers four times a year.  Our 4 and 5 year old come to the worship service with their extended session volunteers for part of the worship service.  Following the Children’s Sermon, they return to their classroom for a snack and activity time.
