Church Tour


Mount Airy Baptist Church.
The northeast view and L Street entrance of Mount Airy Baptist Church. This entrance leads directly into the Church sanctuary. The adjacent two story building is the C. M. Long building. Mount Airy  is located one mile north of the United States Capital.
 
  
 C. M. Long Jr Center.
The northwest view of the C. M. Long Jr. Church Extension Center, North Capital Street entrance. This facility serves as housing for the various business, educational and social activities of the Church and the community. The 1st floor level accomodates the church office, chapel, nursery, fellowship hall (courtyard), restrooms and elevator to the sanctuary and offices. The 2nd floor level houses the pastor study, offices and conference rooms.
  
 
 
Church Sanctuary.
The Mount Airy Baptist Church Sanctuary is the primary location for worship service.  Its architecture includes a hand-painted gold embossed detail cathedral ceiling, brightly colored circular and rectangular designed stained glass windows, health unit, restroom for the physically challenged, wheel chair ramp, seating for 1500 people. The sanctuary also includes audio and video support.
 
 
  
Thomas Bain Chapel.
The Thomas Bain Chapel serves as the primary location for the 7:30 am and Children's Church worship services.  The chapel seats 120 people. Audio support is also available.
 
 
  
Conference Room.
The main Conference Room has a maximum seating capacity of 50 people.   Conference room accessories includes a glass covered conference table that accommodates 8 individuals, 5' x 5' black board, flip chart, DVD player and 32" monitor.
 
    
 
 
 
Choir Loft.
The Church choir loft is located at the north end of the main sanctuary with a backdrop of organ pipes and a gold trimmed circular stain glass window.  The choir loft seats 90 people. Seated in the choir loft is the combined voices of Mount Airy choirs.
 
 
 
 
Elevator Lobby.
First floor elevator lobby is accessible via the handicap ramp located at the North Capital Street entrance. This area is adorned with framed glass windows, a variety of green plants and information carousel with local church news, health info, and community related activities and events.
 
 
Fellowship Hall
The Fellowship Hall (courtyard) is Mount Airy's large multi-purpose room designed for a variety of activities, such as breakfast, dinners, wedding receptions, meetings, workshops, etc. Our sun-filled facility with a backfrop of the church sanctuary seats 200 people including vending machines and adjacent commercial kitchen.
